How to Constitute an Archive of Oral Memory and Identity Within the Framework of A.P.T.O.: A Few Methodological Proposals

Abstract

Im folgenden werde ich mich mit einigen Problemen beschäftigen, die die Katalogisierung von Daten in ethnologischen und anthropologischen (Sub-) Disziplinen betreffen. Hierbei interessieren mich insbesondere Fragen des Forschungskontextes, der Vertraulichkeit und des Datenschutzes, die Rolle des Forschers bzw. der Forscherin und die Integrität von Feldforschung. Ich werde hierzu die Konzepte der materiellen und immateriellen Güter (TUCCI 1999) dahingehend diskutieren, ob Dokumente, für die die Elemente Erinnerung und Identität essentiell sind (Erzählungen usw.), als Kulturgüter verstanden werden können. Themen, die ich zumindest kurz behandeln möchte, betreffen also: die Frage, inwieweit Erinnerung und Identität als Gegenstände kulturellen Eigentums behandelt werden können, die Grenzen einer solchen Perspektive und zusätzliche, hiermit einhergehende Probleme bei der Dokumentation und Archivierung oraler kultureller Überlieferungen.

In this paper I will focus on a few problems relating to the cataloguing of anthropological materials concerning the specificity of demo-ethnological and anthropological disciplines like context, confidentiality, the role of the ethnographer and the integrity of the field-work. In order to do this I will discuss the concepts of material and immaterial goods (TUCCI 1999) of objectivity and subjectivity in relation to memory and identity and verify whether the notion of cultural goods are appliable to memory and identity documentative materials (narratives etc.). Other questions I will try to face are: Whether we can consider memory and identity as objects of cultural property; The limits of this perspective; Other problems in documenting and archiving oral culture materials in relation to the identity and memory of the people.

En este artículo me centraré en algunos problemas relacionados con el catálogo de materiales bibliográficos, atendiendo a la especificidad de disciplinas demoetnológicas y antropológicas, tales como el contexto, la confidencialidad, el rol del etnógrafo y la integridad del trabajo de campo. Para hacerlo discutiré los conceptos del bien material e inmaterial (TUCCI, 1999), de la objetividad y subjetividad, con relación a la memoria y la identidad, y verificaré si la noción de bien cultural es aplicable a la memoria e identidad de materiales documentativos (narrativas, etc.). Otras preguntas que trataré de abordar son: Si podemos considerar a la memoria y a la identidad como objetivos de propiedad cultural; los límites de esta perspectiva; también trataré otros problemas inherentes a la documentación y archivo de materiales de cultura oral relacionados con la identidad y memoria de la gente.
