Educar para la vida: saber genealógico, estilos y pautas de crianza en familias del Programa Madres Canguro de la UMIT-Ibagué

Abstract

This article presents a study conducted with 10 families belonging to the first phase of the Kangaroo Mothers Program of the Mother and Child Unit of Tolima in the city of Ibagué, whose objective was to understand the relationship between the categories of genealogical knowledge and parenting styles, and guidelines applied by them in the framework of the integral formation of their children. This research has a qualitative methodology with an interpretive hermeneutic approach, in which an in-depth interview and the elaboration of the genealogical tree were used. For the systematization and analysis of the information, the handmade triangulation matrices were used. The results show that there is a complementary relationship between the two research categories, and that this is determined by the affective links between the members of the family system, the historical-cultural context, and the characteristics of this system.

El presente artículo expone un estudio realizado con 10 familias pertenecientes a la primera fase del Programa Madres Canguro de la Unidad Materno Infantil del Tolima en la ciudad de Ibagué, cuyo objetivo fue comprender la relación entre las categorías de saber genealógico y estilos y pautas de crianza aplicados por ellas en el marco de la formación integral de sus hijos. La investigación posee una metodología cualitativa de enfoque hermenéutico interpretativo, en la que se hizo uso de una entrevista en profundidad y la elaboración de un árbol genealógico. Para la sistematización y análisis de la información se emplearon las matrices artesanales de triangulación. Entre los resultados se destaca que entre las dos categorías de investigación existe una relación de tipo complementaria, y que esta está determinada por los vínculos afectivos entre los miembros del sistema familiar, el contexto histórico-cultural y las características propias de dicho sistema.
