Der Beitrag untersucht mit der Conjoint-Methodik, wie sich der Wettbewerb im Video-on-Demand-Markt auf die Strategien der Medienunternehmen der Fernseh- und VoD-Branche auswirkt. Die Studie zeigt, dass exklusiver Content für die Nachfrage nach VoD neben Preis und Vielfalt der entscheidende Treiber im VoD-Markt ist. Die Studie hebt für eine erfolgreiche inhaltliche Planung die unternehmerische Fähigkeit hervor, eine spezifische Finetunig-Strategie umzusetzen, um durch ein inhaltlich breites und vielfältiges Angebot sowie mit der Vielfalt eines abwechslungsreichen Entertainmentangebots Wettbewerbsvorteile zu erzielen. The article investigates how competition in the video-on-demand (VoD) market impacts the strategies of media companies in both the television and VoD sectors. To achieve this, the study employs the conjoint analysis methodology. The findings reveal that exclusive content, along with pricing and variety, is a crucial driver of VoD demand. The study highlights the importance of entrepreneurial skills in executing a precise fine-tuning strategy for successful content planning. To achieve competitive advantages, this strategy entails offering a wide and diverse range of content as well as a variety of entertainment options.
