El Perú pendiente: ensayos para un desarrollo con bienestar

Abstract

The essays that make up this book have been written to commemorate the first 40 years of GRADE's institutional life, which coincides not only with the Bicentennial of Peru's Independence, but also with the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and its profound economic, social and political consequences.

From different conceptual and methodological perspectives, these texts address some of the challenges facing the country today, considering their impact on people's well-being. They also reflect some of the topics that our researchers have worked on intensively in recent years: education, segregation, inequality, vulnerability, violence, as well as reforms, territorial planning, governance, innovation and social policies.

Without pretending to exhaust the discussion on any of these topics, the essays contribute to research and proposals aimed at the search for knowledge and its applications for the development of the country and the welfare of its citizens.

Los ensayos que conforman este libro han sido escritos a modo de conmemoración por los primeros 40 años de vida institucional de GRADE, que coinciden no solo con el Bicentenario de la Independencia del Perú, sino también con la crisis sanitaria por la pandemia del COVID-19 y sus profundas secuelas económicas, sociales y políticas. Desde diferentes miradas conceptuales y metodológicas, estos textos abordan algunos de los retos que enfrenta hoy el país, considerando sus impactos sobre el bienestar de las personas. Reflejan, asimismo, algunos de los temas que nuestros investigadores e investigadoras han trabajado con intensidad en años recientes: educación, segregación, desigualdad, vulnerabilidad, violencia, y también reformas, planificación territorial, gobernanza, innovación y políticas sociales. Sin pretender agotar la discusión sobre ninguno de estos temas, los ensayos contribuyen a la investigación y a las propuestas dirigidas hacia la búsqueda del conocimiento, y a sus aplicaciones para el desarrollo del país y el bienestar de sus ciudadanos.
