Abstract

Der Band ist als Einführung in die theoretische und empirische soziologische Vertrauensdebatte zu sehen. ENDRESS nähert sich dem Thema theoriegeschichtlich sowie durch eine systematische Aufarbeitung der aktuellen theoretischen und empirischen Literatur und schließt eigene systematische Überlegungen an. Seine theoretischen Annäherungen sind dabei kompetent und verständlich, jedoch zu eng an einzelnen Personen und Ansätzen geführt. Die Aufarbeitung der empirischen Literatur bleibt lückenhaft. Der Band ist daher eher als Einstieg in das Thema zu sehen denn als umfassender Überblick.

The book introduces the theoretical and empirical sociological debate on trust. ENDRESS examines the topic in a historical as well as a systematic perspective, surveying current literature on trust and concluding with his own systematic remarks. While his presentation of theoretical sociological literature on trust is both competent and readable, it remains too closely connected to certain people and their approaches. In addition, ENDRESS' examination of the empirical literature on trust remains fragmentary. The book should be seen, therefore, as an opportunity to access the sociological debate on trust, but coming short of providing a comprehensive overview.

Este libro introduce el debate sociológico teórico y empírico sobre la confianza. ENDRESS examina el tema tanto en una perspectiva histórica como en una perspectiva sistemática, examinando la literatura existente sobre el concepto y concluyendo con sus propias observaciones sistemáticas.
