dc.description.abstract	Land is of fundamental importance for the realization of several rights under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESC-rights). In its General Comment No. 26, the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights specifies the State obligations to respect, protect and fulfil the Covenant rights in relation to land.
