Abstract

In dieser Studie werden Statuspassagen von jungen Frauen thematisiert. Jede Passage hat ein eigenes Muster und erfordert spezifische Ressourcen. Gleichzeitig ist ihre Gestalt individualisiert, d.h. sie stehen stärker unter dem Vorzeichen der individuellen Wahl und Bewältigung. Gemeinsam ist ihnen jedoch, dass sie über das Merkmal Geschlecht strukturiert sind. Junge Frauen sind mit dem Phänomen einer "doppelten Lebensführung", also der Vereinbarkeit von Arbeit und Familie, konfrontiert. Insofern ist die Studie sowohl innerhalb der Biografie-, Lebenslauf- und Frauenforschung positioniert und beschäftigt sich als Längsschnittstudie mit Berufsfindungsprozessen sowie Partnerschaft und Familie. Die Erhebungszeitpunkte strecken sich über mehr als ein Jahrzehnt, wodurch die biografischen Entwicklungen und Lernprozessen sehr gut fokussiert werden können.

In this study the rites of passage of young women are discussed. Each passage has its own pattern and requires specific resources. At the same time, the shape of each is individualized, i.e. they are related to individual choice and coping. What they have in common is the characteristic of gender structuration whereby young women are confronted with the phenomenon of a "double life management" and have to reconcile work and family. In this respect the study contributes to research on biographies and the life course as well as women's studies. As a longitudinal study it deals with finding work, partnerships and family. The data collection dates cover more than a decade, which means that the biographical developments and learning are very well focused.

En este estudio se discuten los ritos de pasaje de mujeres jóvenes. Cada pasaje tiene su propio patrón y requiere de recursos específicos. Al mismo tiempo, la forma de cada uno es individualizada, esto es, ellos están vinculados a elecciones individuales y a imitaciones. Lo que tienen en común es la característica de la estructuración de género, a través del cual las mujeres jóvenes se confrontan con el fenómeno del "manejo de una doble vida" y deben reconciliar el trabajo y la familia. En este sentido el estudio contribuye a investigar en biografías e historias de vida así como en los estudios de mujeres. Como estudio longitudinal trata con la búsqueda de trabajo, asociaciones y familia. Las fechas de recolección de datos abarcan más de una década, lo que significa que los descubrimientos biográficos y los aprendizajes se encuentran muy bien enfocados.
