Reproduzierende Transitionen, transitionierende Reproduktionen: eine trans-materialistische Auseinandersetzung

Abstract

Im Zusammenhang mit trans und insbesondere medizinisch transitionierenden Menschen wird deutlich, dass sich Reproduktion nicht nur auf Aspekte der Fortpflanzung bezieht, sondern ebenso Fragen von Lebensentwürfen und Zugängen zu Ressourcen umfasst, die staatlich reguliert und kontrolliert werden. Ausgehend von reproduktiven Rechten von trans Personen zielt dieser Aufsatz auf eine Theoretisierung von sozialen Machtverhältnissen im Kontext von Transfeindlichkeit und Cissexismen ab, um Reproduktion in ihrer transitionierenden Vielfältigkeit zu fassen. Ein marxistisch-feministischer Reproduktionsbegriff wird erweitert, um trans Realitäten theoretisch zu integrieren. Die theoretische Argumentation erfolgt entlang der Videoperformance "Pregnancy" der trans Künstlerin of Color micha cárdenas, die Gatekeeping und erzwungene Handlungsmaßnahmen transitionierender Personen innerhalb kapitalistischer Gesundheitsversorgungen verdeutlicht. Es wird argumentiert, dass die Reproduktion von Transfeindlichkeiten und Cissexismen intrinsische Verschränkungen zu weiteren Ausschlüssen beinhaltet, die den Grundlagen kapitalistischer Gesellschaften innewohnen.

In the context of trans and especially medically transitioning people, it becomes apparent that reproduction is not limited to sexual reproduction but also includes questions of life plans and access to resources regulated and controlled by the state. Beginning with reproductive rights of trans people, this paper aims at theorizing power relations around transphobia and cissexism to grasp reproduction in its transitioning multifacetedness. It expands the Marxist-feminist concept of reproduction by including different perspectives to theoretically integrate trans realities. For this theoretical work, the video performance "Pregnancy" by the trans artist of color micha cárdenas is used to illustrate gatekeeping and forced agency of transitioning individuals within trans-exclusive capitalist health care systems. The paper argues that the reproduction of transphobia and cissexism involves intrinsic entanglements to further exclusions inherent in the structures of capitalist societies.
