Der Beitrag untersucht vor dem Hintergrund des Eingangs der Frauenbewegungen in das kulturelle Gedächtnis die Arbeit von feministischen Archiven am Beispiel des Frauenarchivs ausZeiten in Bochum. Ausgangspunkt der Überlegungen ist der politische Anspruch des Archivs, das sowohl als Gedächtnis-Aktivistin das kulturelle Gedächtnis der Gesellschaft formt als auch als Reaktualisiererin historischer Inhalte an der Aneignung historischen Wissens mitwirkt. Die theoretische Grundlage bilden die Theorie des kulturellen Gedächtnisses nach Assmann und Assmann sowie die Überlegungen Carol Glucks zum Gedächtnis-Aktivismus. Durch die Einbeziehung von Forschungen zum Movement-Memory Nexus wird die Arbeit von ausZeiten als Arbeit am Bewegungsgedächtnis beschrieben. Against the background that women's movements are entering cultural memory, this article examines the work of feminist archives using the example of the ausZeiten women’s archive in Bochum. Our reflections on this issue take as their starting point the political claim made by this archive, which both shapes society's cultural memory as a memory activist and participates in the appropriation of historical knowledge as a re-actualizer of historical content. Assmann and Assmann’s theory of cultural memory and Carol Gluck's reflections on memory activism provide the theoretical basis for this. Incorporating research on the movement-memory nexus, the work done by ausZeiten is described as working on movement memory. Building on this, we discuss how social movements - in this case the second women’s movement(s) - enter cultural memory.... view less
