%X In general, Georgians strongly support their leaders' decision to opt for a European identity and foreign policy. However, some aspects of this choice remain hard for the Georgian Orthodox Church (GOC) to accept, particularly issues concerning the status of the GOC vis-à-vis other churches within Georgia and discrimination concerning gender and sexual identity issues.
