Auf der Basis erster empirischer ethnographischer Ergebnisse eines Forschungsprojektes diskutiert dieser Beitrag die Aneignung oder auch 'Umlebung' öffentlicher Räume durch Kinder und Jugendliche, die auf einem Skateplatz Scooter fahren. Neben der generationalen Differenz von Kindern und Erwachsenen zeigt sich auch der Stellenwert intragenerationaler Relationen zwischen Kindern und Jugendlichen, wenn es darum geht Zugänge zum und Ausschlüsse vom Skateplatz zu legitimieren. Mit einer ontopolitischen Perspektive wird die Bedeutung generationaler Ordnung und generationalen Ordnens bezogen auf Prozesse des Zonierens im öffentlichen Raum rekonstruierbar. Kinder und Jugendliche, aber auch ihre kulturelle Praxis werden dabei zu politischen Akteur*innen und sind in besonderer Weise praktisch und relational in die verschiedenen Ebenen des politischen Netzes des Zonierens öffentlicher Räume involviert.... view less

On the basis of first empirical ethnographic results of a research project, this article discusses the occupation or 're-inhabitation' of public spaces by children and adolescents who ride scooters on a skate park. In addition to the generational difference between children and adults, the importance of intragenerational relations between children and adolescents is also revealed when it comes to legitimizing access to and exclusion from the skatepark. With an ontopolitical perspective, the significance of generational order and generational ordering in relation to processes of zoning in public space can be reconstructed. Children and young people, but also their cultural practice, become political actors and are involved in a special way practically and relationally in the different levels of the political network of zoning public spaces.... view less
