%X Recent changes in transportation planning and management in Azerbaijan in the context of an economic
downturn indicate the need for sustainable urban transportation planning in Baku. This paper looks at existing
situations in transportation planning and some of the policies implemented in recent years. It also analyzes
transportation-related investments and transportation management as well as their implications for
sustainable transportation planning in the future.
