%T Aristotle's principles as conditions %A Llovet Abascal, Jose Maria %J Griot: Revista de Filosofia %N 3 %P 112-120 %V 21 %D 2021 %K Aristotle; Metaphysics; Principles; Conditions; Ontology; Dependence %@ 2178-1036 %X In this paper I will argue that when Aristotle uses the word 'ἀρχή' (commonly translated as 'principle,' 'beginning,' 'origin,' or 'starting-point') he is often referring to what we call a condition, whether necessary, sufficient or necessary and sufficient.
