Der Beitrag geht der Frage nach, ob sich geschlechtsbezogene Ungleichheit zum Nachteil von Frauen nicht nur an Verdienstnachteilen und an eingeschränkten Aufstiegsmöglichkeiten festmachen lässt, sondern auch an den Vernutzungsbedingungen von Arbeitskraft und Arbeitsvermögen und mit ihnen der Gesundheit. Anhand quantitativer und qualitativer arbeitssoziologischer Untersuchungen wird gesundheitliche Ungleichheit geschlechterbezogen erforscht. Es wird gezeigt, dass im Feld der Erwerbsarbeit und im Feld der Sorge- und Hausarbeit Frauen höheren Gesundheitsrisiken ausgesetzt sind als Männer, die Arbeitswelt demnach auch durch einen Gender Health Gap gekennzeichnet ist.... view less

The article explores whether gender-based inequality to the detriment of women can not only be mapped to pay disparities and limited opportunities for advancement, but also to the conditions for the release of labour and, as a result, health. Based on own quantitative and qualitative labour sociology studies we investigated health inequality from a gender-based perspective. The article shows that when it comes to both gainful employment and care and housework, women are exposed to greater health risks than men, which means that the world of work is also characterized by a gender health gap.... view less
