Attention is paid to the character of these pitches as an intermediate form of playground and sports field. It will be shown that the emergence of Bolzplatz related culture is not only an expression of the evolution of football, but also reflect aspects of the country's childhood and youth policy, of building law and noise regulation as well as its leisure development.... view less
