Ein Überblick über das Angebot und die Open Access Verfügbarkeit deutschsprachiger Zeitschriften des Fachgebiets ergänzt das Bild.This article investigates the motivations and barriers for library and information professionals to publish articles in academic journals. The survey also evaluates the authors’ publishing activities in other publishing or media channels and their attitude towards open access. The article includes an overview over the number and open access compliancy of current German journals in library and information science.},
