Mit der zunehmenden Bedeutung von Kindertageseinrichtungen als Bildungsorten wächst auch die Relevanz der Qualitätssteuerung in den Einrichtungen. Einen zentralen Stellenwert in diesem Prozess nehmen Träger von Kindertageseinrichtungen ein, denen zunehmend Verantwortung für die Implementierung von Qualitätsentwicklungsmaßnahmen zukommt. Dennoch fehlt es bislang an einschlägigen Studien zu trägereigenen Steuerungsprozessen. Der vorliegende Artikel geht in explorativer Hinsicht auf Basis von Expert_inneninterviews der Frage nach, wie Träger die an sie herangetragene Aufgabe der Qualitätssteuerung bearbeiten. Trägerspezifische Stile der Steuerung von Qualität verweisen im Ergebnis auf die zentrale Figur des 'Erzieher_innensubjekts' als Adressat_in und Produkt der Maßnahmen.... view less

Since childcare centers are emphasized as educational organizations, the development and controlling of pedagogical quality has become a focus of political and pedagogical interests. Providers of early childhood education are especially of interest, as they are taken into account for implementing processes to ensure and develop the quality of their services. Nevertheless, studies on providers' control processes are rare. This article is based on expert interviews and examines how different providers deal with this assignment.
