Abstract

Dieser Artikel befasst sich mit Smartphone-Apps in der Museumsvermittlung. Anhand zweier Beispiele soll das Potenzial der Anwendungen für die Vermittlung herausgestellt werden. Im Fokus stehen dabei die räumliche Erweiterung der Vermittlungsorte und die sich damit wandelnde Beziehung von Museen und öffentlichem Raum.

This article deals with smartphone-apps within museum mediation. Based on two examples it concerns the capabilities of mobile devices for museums and how museums make use of these. Its focus lies on the spacial expansion of the mediation and the changing relationship between museums and public space.
