Die Normativität von Kritik: ein Minimalmodell

Abstract

Der Artikel untersucht die Frage nach der Normativität von Kritik. An seinem Ausgangspunkt steht die Beobachtung, dass Kritik offenbar nicht umhin kann, Wertungen vorzunehmen. Zur Frage steht deshalb erstens, ob sich normative Dimensionen überhaupt vermeiden lassen und zweitens, ob unter der Normativität von Kritik zwangsläufig eine vollständig begründete, umfassende Normativitätskonzeption verstanden werden muss. Es wird anhand der Auseinandersetzung mit realistischen Zugängen zum politischen Denken gezeigt, dass sich normative Bezüge unvermeidlich einschleichen. Aber des Weiteren wird argumentiert, dass es sich bei dieser Normativität nicht um eine umfassende Normativitätskonzeption handelt, sondern um normative Implikationen einer kritischen Befragung. Diese minimale Normativität verdankt sich der Öffnungs- und Distanzierungsbewegung, die sich aus der kritischen Befragung ergibt.

The article examines the normativity of critique. Its starting point lies in the observation that critique evidently is unable to avoid judgements. The question then is, firstly, if it is in principle possible to avoid normative dimensions, and, secondly, if the normativity of critique has to be understood as a fully justified, allembracing conception of normativity. With the help of a discussion of realistic approaches to political thinking it becomes evident, that normative references are inevitable. However it will be argued, that this normativity isn’t a full-embracing conception of normativity, but rather an implication of a critical interrogation. This minimal normativity is a result of an opening and a distance implied by the critical interrogation itself.
