Qualitative Skype-Interviews: ein Forschungszugang zu hochmobilen transnationalen Jugendlichen

Abstract

Basierend auf Forschungserfahrungen im Umgang mit transnational hochmobilen Interviewpartner*innen untersucht dieser Beitrag den Einsatz von Online-Interviews mit Skype. Dazu werden auf Basis von Intervieweinstiegen, Meta-Kommunikationen und ethnographischen Protokollen die Interviewsituationen reflektiert, um Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten digitaler und analoger Face-to-Face Interviews herauszuarbeiten und Perspektiverweiterungen zu diskutieren.

Based on research experiences with transnationally highly mobile young adults this article discusses the use of online communication programmes, such as Skype, as a way of conducting interviews. This paper examines the starting phases of the interviews, the meta communications and ethnographical protocols to identify similarities and differences of VoIP- and face-to-face interviews as well as their enrichments of perspectives.
