Nuevas reflexiones sobre los elementos esenciales de la imprescindible reforma de las Naciones Unidas

Abstract

En este artículo el autor plantea la inexistencia de un nuevo orden mundial, el empeoramiento de la problemática del orbe y la imposibilidad actual de que la Organización de las Naciones Unidas cumpla las finalidades formalmente declaradas en el momento de su creación. El autor sostiene la necesidad imperiosa de iniciar un proceso por medio del cual los miembros de la ONU revisen a fondo todo el sistema y emprendan su completa transformación con el objeto de capacitarlo para adaptarse a los requerimientos de nuestro tiempo y, con ello, responder a las expectativas de los pueblos que conforman a esta organización construyendo, eficazmente, una sociedad internacional más avanzada, homogénea, armoniosa e integrada.

The author poses the nonexistence of a new world-order, the worsening of problems around the globe and today's impossibility for the United Nations to fulfil the goals formally declared at the time it was created. The author sustains the imperative necessity of beginning a process through which members thoroughly review the whole system, thus embarking in a total transformation process to adapt it to the requirements of our times. This will answer the expectations of the peoples making up the organization, efficiently building a more advanced, homogeneous, harmonious and integrated international society.
