Lenguaje y medios: sociedad civil, espacio público, la palabra castigada

Abstract

En este artículo, la autora analiza la realidad de algunos discursos publicados en la prensa y cuya inserción en la vida cultural, sostiene, es arbitraria, ambigua y también fascinante. Partiendo de los trabajos de Emile Benveniste sobre la subjetividad en el lenguaje, el artículo pone énfasis en el hallazgo de un cierto número de fenómenos ligados a la enunciación y que se relegaban anteriormente al uso de palabra. A partir de ello, la autora se cuestiona ¿qué demostramos con este hallazgo? Por una parte, que los actos de enunciación tienen una función argumentativa. es decir que un argumento sirve para que el destinatario llegue a tina conclusión o lo separe de ella. Pero además, concluye la autora, esta función tiene marcas en la estructura misma de la frase porque no sólo las informaciones aportan valor argumentativo al enunciado, sino que la frase puede tener diversas expresiones o recursos que sirven para dar una orientación a la argumentación, al enunciado y dirigir al destinatario en una dirección.

This arricie analyses the reality of some discourses published in the press whose insertion in the cultural life is arbitrary, ambiguous and fascinating too. Starting with the works of Emile Benveniste about subjectivity within language, the author emphasises he fmdings of certain number of phenomena linked to the enunciation and were previously relegated to the use of speech. Thus, the author wonders what these fmdings prove? On one hand, enunciation in itself has an argumentative function. That is, an argument is meant to make a positive ornegative conclusion from its addressee. Moreover, such function puts an accent on the very structure of the sentence not only because information carries argumentative valué, but the phrase can have diverse expressions or resoiirces which are meant to give an orientation to the argument, the enunciation, and in this way direct the addressee in a given direction.
