Experiencias de acción colectiva frente a la problemática ambiental en México

Abstract

Con base en experiencias organizativas de trascendencia histórica, este artículo se propone hacer una aproximación a la naturaleza y alcance de la movilización ciudadana frente a la problemática ambiental en México. Asimismo, alude a la instrumentación de vías alternativas de participación que buscan promover un uso ambientalmente adecuado y equitativo de los recursos naturales y enfatiza el aporte de un tipo específico de organización ciudadana frente a un escenario de crisis ambiental y civilizatoria. Específicamente, se hace referencia al Foro Internacional en Defensa del Agua, al Tribunal Latinoamericano del Agua y a las expresiones ambientalistas que tuvieron lugar durante La Otra Campaña, eventos ocurridos en el año 2006.

With base of the study of historical experiences of collective action, this article makes an approach to the nature and reaches of the citizen mobilization in order to solve the environmental problems. It alludes to the instrumentation of alternative routes of participation that they look for to promote a suitable and environmentally equitable use of the natural resources, and emphasizes the contribution of a specific type of citizen organization forehead to a scene of environmental and civilizatory crisis. Specifically it makes reference to the Forum International in Defense of the Water, to the Latin American Court of the Water and to the environmentalist expressions that took place during the Other Campaign, events happened in 2006.
