La transtextualidad en el discurso periodístico: análisis de una entrevista

Abstract

Todo texto es producto de varias escrituras que sólo estará finiquitado en el momento en que sea actualizado por el lector. Por esta razón, para que un texto pueda ser considerado como tal, se requiere la participación activa de quien lee; es decir, el receptor debe comprender el contenido del texto, para hacerlo deberá tener no sólo conocimiento del código lingüístico, sino otro tipo de competencias, tales como capacidad para establecer relaciones entre el contenido del texto leído y el de otros textos, hacer presuposiciones, reprimir idiosincrasias e integrar lo leído en un contexto. Para ejemplificar el proceso complejo que implica la comprensión de la lectura, se presenta en este artículo el análisis de una entrevista periodística utilizando como propuesta metodológica la transtextualidad, la cual se entenderá no sólo desde la perspectiva de la construcción textual, incluyendo todos los elementos extra textuales que sirven al emisor para producir su texto, sino también desde la recepción textual, es decir, la red de asociaciones que realiza el lector cuando reconstruye el texto.

Every text is a product of several writings and it will only be complete when it is updated by the reader. For this reason, in order that a text can be considered as such, the active participation of the reader is required. This means that the reader has to understand the content of the text. To do this the reader has not only have a knowledge of the linguistic code but also have other kinds of competences such as be proficient in other skills to establish relationships between the content of the text and that of other texts, to make assumptions, to suppress idiosyncrasies and to integrate what is read within a context. To illustrate the complex procedure that involves reading comprehension, this article presents the analysis of a journalistic interview using transtextuality as a methodological proposal. Transtextuality will be understood not only from the perspective of text building, including all the extratextual elements that the writer employs to produce his text, but also from the textual reception, in other words, from the association network that the reader makes when he reconstructs the text.
