Abstract

"Mit vorliegendem Beitrag wird die These erarbeitet, dass Schülerinnen und Schüler, die eine Hauptschule oder einen Hauptschulbildungsgang besuchen, mit der Übernahme des diskreditierten Hauptschulstatus auch in eine soziale Rolle gedrängt werden. In dieser lernen sie ihre persönliche Integrität gegen abwertende Vorurteile und gesellschaftlich produzierte Verachtung zu schützen und zu behaupten. Grundlage hierfür sind Ergebnisse einer empirischen Untersuchung zur Selbstwahrnehmung von Hauptschülerinnen und Hauptschülern." (Autorenreferat)

"The thesis of this paper is that adolescents of lower secondary schools are being forced into a special social depreciated role in which they learn predominantly to protect their personal integrity against derogatory prejudices. This text uses selected empirical results of a study about self-perception of pupils in lower secondary school education classes. Students of this school see their school performance questioned from different positions. As a consequence of this, being a student in this school constitutes socialisation- based learning effects which are problematic, especially from a pedagogically point of view." (author's abstract)
