"Thematischer Schwerpunkt waren theoretisch- konzeptionelle und empirische Ansätze aus der Perspektive der Postcolonial Studies, die sich mit der Diskursivierung der Begriffe Migration, Mobilität und Geschlecht im Spannungsfeld zwischen emanzipatorischem Potenzial und Instrumenten der Unterdrückung beschäftigten. Vorträge und Diskussionen zeigten auf, dass die Verflechtung von Migration und Gender neue, nicht-statische wissenschaftliche Ansätze erfordert, um den Normalisierungspraktiken und Migrationspolitiken der Mehrheitsgesellschaft (selbst-)kritisch etwas entgegensetzen zu können."
