Review: Michael B. Buchholz, Franziska Lamott & Kathrin Mörtl (2008). Tat-Sachen. Narrative von Sexualstraftätern

Abstract

Den AutorInnen des umfangreichen Bandes geht es grundsätzlich um die Versachlichung des Phänomens Sexualdelinquenz. Ihr Beitrag dazu bezieht sich auf die Analyse von Therapiematerial, das mit modernen sozialwissenschaftlichen und psychologischen Methoden ausgewertet wurde. Das Forschungsmaterial, videografierte Gruppentherapiesitzungen, wurde transkribiert und in einer innovativen Kombination von Konversations-, Narrations- und Metaphernanalyse vor dem Hintergrund eines psychoanalytischen Grundverständnisses analysiert. Den LeserInnen ergibt sich so ein äußerst tiefer Einblick in die biografischen Muster, Probleme, die Einsichten, aber auch das Leugnungsverhalten und die Entwicklungsschritte von paraphilen Sexualstraftätern im therapeutischen Kontext. Die AutorInnen, die teilweise selbst in Einrichtungen der Täterbehandlung arbeiten, legen die im deutschsprachigen Raum bislang umfangreichste qualitative Forschung zur Gruppentherapie von Sexualstraftätern vor und beschreiben, was in solchen therapeutischen Prozessen geschieht.

The authors of this substantial book adopt a more objective view of the "sex crime" phenomenon. Their contribution is based on the analysis of therapy records, which were evaluated using modern methods from the social sciences and psychology. The research material—videotapes of group therapy meetings—was transcribed and analyzed with the use of an innovative combination of conversation, narration and metaphor analyses based on a psychoanalytical understanding. This provides the reader with a deep insight into the biographical patterns, problems and self-conceptualization of paraphylic sex offenders—as well as their denial behavior and the stages of their development—in a therapeutic context. The authors present the most extensive qualitative research material to date on group therapy of sex offenders in German-speaking countries, as well as describe what happens in these therapeutic processes.

Los autores de este libro sustancial adoptan una mirada mas objetiva acerca del fenómeno del "crimen sexual". Su contribución se basa en el análisis de grabaciones de terapia que fueron evaluadas usando métodos modernos de las ciencias sociales y la psicología. El material de investigación – grabaciones de video de encuentros de terapia de grupo – fue transcrito y analizado con el uso de una combinación innovadora de análisis de conversación, de narración y de metáforas basado en la comprensión psicoanalítica. Esto brinda al lector una visión profunda de los patrones biográficos, problemas y conceptualización propia de los delincuentes sexuales parafílicos – así como su comportamiento de negación y las etapas de su desarrollo – en un contexto terapéutico. Los autores presentan el más extenso material de investigación cualitativa hasta la fecha en terapia de grupo de delincuentes sexuales en los países de habla alemana, también describe lo que sucede en estos procesos terapéuticos.
