(Autorenreferat)... view less

'The growing concern for social network analysis has started investigation into efficient ways of organizing and analyzing network data. This article shows how data from egocentric social networks can easily be organized on the level of dyads and networks by standard software packages like SPSS-PC. The emphasis is on procedures which can be performed by anyone after a little training in quantitative data analyses. The ALLBUS 1990, the German social survey, will serve to exemplify the procedures. The obtained network information will be presented in some empirical analyses.' (author's abstract)|... view less
