This essay analyses the use of cartographic imagery in the visual representation of the Russo-Ukrainian War on Instagram. It explores how digital artists utilise maps and iconic geographic symbols to convey the trauma experienced by Ukrainians, reinforce a sense of national unity, and express love and affection for the homeland.
