In Russland können sich Unternehmer nicht darauf verlassen, dass der Staat ihre Eigentumsrechte schützt. Strafverfolgung und Justiz funktionieren nur unzuverlässig. Zunehmend geht die Bedrohung sogar von staatlichen Akteuren selbst aus. Unternehmer setzen auf unterschiedliche Strategien, um einem Verlust ihres Eigentums vorzubeugen. Innerhalb Russlands versuchen sie ihre Interessen über Unternehmerverbände geltend zu machen. Gleichzeitig suchen viele Unternehmer Schutz im Ausland bei internationalen Schieds- und Wirtschaftsgerichten. Aufgrund der - von den westlichen Sanktionen beförderten - Selbstisolation Russlands wird dieser Weg immer schwerer. In Russia, entrepreneurs cannot rely on the state to protect their property rights. Law enforcement and the judiciary function only unreliably. Increasingly, the threat even comes from state actors themselves. Entrepreneurs rely on different strategies to prevent the loss of their property. Within Russia, they try to assert their interests through business associations. At the same time, many entrepreneurs seek protection abroad in international arbitration and commercial courts. Due to Russia's self-isolation - promoted by Western sanctions - this path is becoming increasingly difficult. What remains are declarations of loyalty and gestures of subservience to the political leadership.... view less
