Die Studie untersucht die Wirksamkeit der politischen Bildung in Grundschulen. Das politische Wissen von 384 Schüler/-innen der 4. Klasse wurde im Rahmen eines Jean Monnet Projekts erhoben. Als theoretischer Bezug für den Kompetenztest dient das Kompetenzmodell von Detjen, Massing, Richter & Weißeno (2012). Untersucht werden die Kompetenzdimensionen Fachwissen und das fachspezifische Selbstkonzept als motivationale Voraussetzung. Die erfassten Variablen des fachspezifischen und des globalen politischen Selbstkonzepts sind im Rahmen des Erwartungs-mal-Wert-Modells der Motivation (Wigfield & Eccles, 2002) wichtige Indikatoren der Handlungsmotivation. Das fachspezifische Selbstkonzept hat einen positiven, das globale Selbstkonzept politischen Wissens, die Wohlstandsgüter und der Migrationshintergrund haben einen negativen Effekt auf den Kompetenzstand.... view less

The study examines the effectiveness of political education in primary schools. The increase in knowledge of 10-year-old pupils is collected in an intervention study. The post-test of 384 pupils is considered. The competency model developed by Detjen, Massing, Richter and Welsseno (2012) was used as a theoretical basis for the competency testing and the construction of the intervention materials. The competency dimensions studied were political knowledge and the domain-specific self-concept as a motivational condition. The variables Used for the domain-specific and global political self-concept are important indicators of motivations for action in the context of the expectancy-value theory of achievement motivation (Wigfield & Eccles, 2002). The domain-specific self-concept had a positive effect on the achievement while the global self-concept of political knowledge, indicators of material prosperity, and a migrant background had a negative effect on the achievement.... view less
