Objective: analyze the phenomenon of the care of the nursing professional for people with leprosy in FHS in immediate, specific, general and meta-contextual levels of context. Leprosy is a disease considered to be contagious and mutilating by causing discrimination and exclusion from society. The nursing care targeted to health promotion can ensure a better quality of care than the paradigm of elimination focused on the disease. Family Health Strategy (FHS) is one of the main axes responsible for conducting such care. Conclusion: The understanding of the weaknesses of each context enables actions aimed at minimizing the difficulties found by nurses to provide a type of care with excellence capable of reducing the disease burden, as well as its consequences and the suffering of affected people.... weniger
