How can the governance of global sport be improved? Should nation states formulate a more 'realpolitik' or 'ethically based approach'? To what degree can sport be used to aid wider development goals? To what extent can sport enhance intercultural communication and mutual understanding? On 10 December 2014 academics and practitioners in the field of global sport discussed these issues at the international conference "Culture of Fairness: Sport in Foreign Policy - Opportunities and Challenges".
