(Autorenreferat)... view less

"The authors are currently coordinating the EC Research Project Gender-based Violence, Stalking and Fear of Crime. Together with four other multiprofessional groups of researchers from the UK, Italy Spain and Poland they are currently collecting transnationally comparable data on violence against female students. They present data on stalking from a first online survey carried out at the University of Bochum, Germany, and discuss them with regard to national research on stalking. The authors present results on how and to what extent students are affected by stalking and discuss their specific circumstances. They conclude that students are a high-risk group on account of their age. While the internet is the most frequent place where stalking is encountered, ex-partner stalking with physical violence, some of it serious, is the most frequent form of stalking."
