Finanzdienstleistungssektoren. In diesem Artikel werden Fallstudienergebnisse von
MNUs aus Deutschland, England und Italien präsentiert." (Autorenreferat)... view less

"EU countries are currently facing many challenges and large scale change.
Markets and production centres are moving dramatically across national borders.
The pivotal driving force behind the internationalization of the economy is the multinational
corporation (MNC). The research addresses the need to improve our
understanding of how MNCs are responding to pressures to change existing
approaches to the management of their employment relationship as a result of
intensifying competition and internationalisation. The overall objective of the
research is firstly, to review developments within two areas which are critical to
European competitiveness, namely flexibility and participation; and secondly, to
examine the role of major multinational companies in promoting these
developments. The study focuses specifically on the food and financial services
sectors, and the article presents the findings of case studies within German, British
and Italian MNCs." (author's abstract)... view less
