"Starting from current trends in the discourse on sustainability, this article continues with the phenomenon that in spite of the logical understanding of the argument, the individuals do not act effectively; if every individual acts effectively, the sum of the actions is advantageous for both society and the individual. This can be interpreted as a demand to introduce the concept of sustainability closer to the individuals reality. Through this task the ever-normative concept of sustainability in reference to its ethic scope of reasoning is laid open. By applying Krämer's integrative ethic, an attempt is made to illustrate the chances of a sustainable development and to relay, integratively, recommendations for designing a sustainable business ethic."
