"The interview with Mrs. P. is interpreted in a perspective adopted from the narrative structure approach proposed by Fritz Schütze. After an analysis of the beginning of the interview, with a focus on vocabulary and syntax, the main narrative is examined in a comparative perspective of life course vs. course of the narrative and narrating vs. reasoning. These perspectives reveal that while Mrs. P. presents her life as a processual curve in her narrative, the reflective passages actually suggest a potential that might allow her to cope with this processual curve on a cognitive level."
