Korrespondenzanalyse von Arbeitswerten in Ost- und Westdeutschland
Correspondence analysis of work values in east and west Germany

'Unlike formal concept analysis, correspondence analysis relies on a distance measure to analyze matrix data. For correspondence analysis, the scaling chosen for the input data is particulary important. Using the data from the 1991 ALLBUS Basicline-study on work values in East and West Germany, we show that the structures found for the work values can be recovered in a graphical representation of correspondence analysis. Finally, we discuss how the results found in this context do not confirm Alderfer's hypothesis on existence, relatedness, and growth.' (author's abstract)|... view less
