(Autorenreferat)... view less

"The GESIS-Microcensus-Trendfile constitutes a representative cumulated microdata set, which enables social scientists to analyse specific aspects of social change in (Western) Germany across a period of over forty years. The file includes data from 30 waves of the German Microcensus, namely from the years 1962 to 1969, 1973, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987 1989, 1991, 1993 and 1995 to 2006. This technical report summarises the construction of the GESIS-Microcensus-Trendfile. It contains detailed information on each of the original datasets (incl. breaks in the variable definitions over time) as well as on the construction of all harmonized variables belonging to the different sections education, employment, household and family etc." (author's abstract)... view less
